Evertz USA, Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Receiving/Packaging Technician whose primary duties will include performing variety of packaging, shipping and receiving tasks.

Additional Duties:
  1. Prepare items or shipments according to customer orders and instructions by supervisor to ensure appropriate product is shipped on time using appropriate shipping method; paying special attention to methods/documentation. Package, weigh and document correct shipment details. Maintain documentation in a neat and orderly manner.
  2. Set up shipments with freight forwarders and provide them with the necessary export documents by email or fax.
  3. Speak with international representatives for any packages being held by customs and be able to provide them with needed information to release shipment.
  4. Prepare power of attorney papers and consent to search documents, SU forms, invoices, certificate of origin, Chamber of Commerce certificate, etc. Have documents stamped with company seal and signed by a member of management. Be familiar with harmonized codes and any other applicable codes.
  5. Prepare accurate freight quotes for customers.
  6. Calculate package dimensional weight, volume and freight classes.
  7. Ensure latest version of UPS and Fed-X software is installed and coordinate with the IT department. Contact UPS/FedEx/OHL technical departments to resolve any issues with software or online shipping.
  8. Ensure shipping/packaging supplies are at sufficient levels.
  9. Route materials and supplies according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand or safely using manual material handling ·equipment.
  10. Receive and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and damages by following the receiving procedures. Document and report problems promptly to the appropriate person.
  11. Sign for incoming deliveries, load and unload delivery trailers/trucks by hand or with manual material handling equipment as needed and stock in appropriate location.
  12. Adhere to and stay up to date on export control laws & compliance. Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Work requires attention to detail and a strong math aptitude as well as strong planning, organizational, time and problem-solving skills.   
  • Strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to read, interpret and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Must possess basic computer skills along with alpha-numeric keyboard skills
  • Must possess solid math aptitude and have ability to work on an individual basis and in a team environment.
Position is a full-time, daylight position, 5-8 schedule, Monday – Friday
